Sunday Saver tickets went on sale on Sunday 17th April 2005 for use commencing from Sunday 24th April 2005, however to allow ticketing software to be tested, validators would accept Sunday Saver metcards for travel on Sunday 17th April 2005. The ticket is sold at a heavily discounted special flat rate of $2.50, so there are no separate full fare or concession issues. The station issue is however, printed "Full Fare". The Sunday Saver is a daily ticket which allows unlimited train, tram and bus travel in all zones from the first service on Sunday until the end of services for that day (2.00 am Monday). They may also be issued in advance. Sunday Savers are available from retail outlets, on-line, or the metcard helpline as a pre-encoded issue (S-1 to S-6 designators, re-ordering code on rear: 210), or from premium stations as a machine printed issue.
