60 Plus TicketsPage last modified/checked: Saturday, 21 May, 2005This ticket has undoubtedly been the most popular addition to the Metropolitan ticketing system in a long time. Introduced on the 1st January 1989, at $1.00, it allows unlimited daily travel within the three zone fare system to the senior members of the community. It is also the only metropolitan ticket that is honoured for use on several longer bus routes that travel beyond the limits of zone 3: to Warburton (route 683) and Portsea (route 788).
Seniors DailyCommencing 1st January 2005, the name of the 60 plus was altered to "Seniors Daily" to more accurately reflect the customers the ticket is provided for.No alterations to the conditions of use were made. |
