5 x Weekend Daily tickets

For some time there had been agitation to offer a form of flat fare, discount daily travel on Saturdays similar to that offered by the very popular Sunday Saver ticket. From 1st April 2008, a 5 x Weekend Daily ticket was introduced whose pricing structure is equal to the Sunday Saver but allows travel on either Saturday or Sunday (or both). This ticket was first available for use on Saturday 5th April. It is sold as both a pre encoded ticket from metcard retailers and from BOMs at premium stations. It is a shame that a destinctive design was not developed for the pre encoded issue.
