Bus Issue MetroCard Off-Peak

Page uploaded: Monday, 20 May 2002

A variation of the MetroCard Off Peak ticket was the large generic card version provided specifically for issue on board the bus services that replaced four rail services on Melbourne's periphery during 1981. The left hand side was validated in the buses Almex ticket machine and this became the only way of identifying if the purchaser was adult, child or pensioner fare. The right hand side was a stub worded "Forward portion to Melbourne / MetroCard". This was collected upon exiting a city rail station.
