Typical child issue
City stations were provided with blanks for persons arriving without a ticket, but wishing to take advantage of the city section travel this ticket offerred.
Some outlying stations within the suburban fare structure area were served only by country trains, thus first class travel was possible. Accordingly, most of these stations held a first class MetroCard identified only by "1st" in front of the issuing station name. Berwick was served by both country and suburban trains. |
