2-Hour Tickets

Time based ticketing for Melbourne was introduced with the "Neighbourhood" fare system in November 1983.
There had been a concept trial of the idea in the inner South-East suburbs during 1982/83.

A typical 2-hour Concession ticket.

A typical 2-hour Full Fare ticket.

2-Hour tickets issued after 6.00pm are available for use until the last services at night.
This is shown by the expiry time of 2.00am the next day.
