Yearly Access Pass

Earliest known issue: prior to August 2006

The Yearly Access Pass appears to have been introduced as an additional ticket type available to Franchisee oragnisations to alleviate a shortage of Touchcards, however the actual implementation date is not known. It is a yearly Metcard avaialable in Zones 1, 2 and 3 (Zones 1 and 2 from 4th March 2007) - but it MUST be used in conjunction with a plastic digital photograph Travel Pass. The Access Pass CANNOT be used by itself.

A full scale recall of all remaining touchcards commenced during August 2008. The only exception are barrier staff at gated stations who retain
their touchcards purely for barrier operations as required. All staff have been issued with the Access Pass shown below.
The main changes from the initial issue are the deletion of the word "Yearly" and the alteration to Zone 1+ 2.
