M>Tram PARK and RIDEPage last modified/checked: Wednesday, 31 July 2002From December 12, 2001, the CBD Park'n'Ride scheme was extended with a third offer between Tram companies and City car park operators. The latest is a joint initiative between M>Tram and the Melbourne City Council - the latter having established a car park on the former C.U.B. brewery site at the northern end of Swanston Street. M>Tram services run directly past this site on either side, in both Elizabeth and Swanston Streets. To allow full CBD coverage, this ticket is also valid on Yarra Trams services. Unlike previous offers, this one is temporarary, expiring on January 31, 2002. It does represent excellent value! Apart from the different shading and altered wording, this ticket is almost identical to that originally developed for Yarra Trams - indeed it may have become a generic design to be used by either company as required. Note also the availability and validating instructions printed on the back of the ticket, along with a hand-stamped "Melbourne The City The Centre" logo.
