From around the 19th June 2000, the format of the printing on the face of the ticket was changed,
basically moving rhe destination station name and slogan up by one line. This created room to place the
now mandatory GST wording where the slogan had been previously printed. However, moving the slogan up by
one line restricted the number of characters available to be used for the slogan from 18 to 14. Even worse,
TVM's were only able to print a slogan 13 characters long which led to the last letter being omitted from
those tickets printed by TVM's. This oversight/error was not rectified for more than 5 years.

Accordingly, tickets issued from both BOM/TOM's (left) and TVM's (right) will now be illustrated
to show the truncated slogans.
