Authority To Travel Receipt machinesPage created Tuesday, 20th October, 2009 - HTML 4.01 TransitionalLast modified/checked: Tuesday, 20th October, 2009 Authority To Travel Receipt (ATTR) machines were generally placed on low patronage platforms and issued a flimsy paper receipt. This receipt was handed to the Booking Clerk at the junction or destination station as a "part payment" of the fare originally required by the passenger. The ATTR was kept by the Booking Clerk, and a new ticket then issued which covered travel from the origin station to the destination station at a fare less the amount shown on the ATT Receipt. Very few flimsy paper ATTR's appear to have survived. |
