The most important change introduced with this design was that the magnetic strip was moved to the front of the ticket. This now ensured that tickets
issued by Sydney Ferries were compatable with the new State Transit Automated Ticketing System introduced on Sydney Buses during August 1992,
and the soon to be introduced AFC system for CityRail (May 1993).

Ticket issuing details were initially printed on the lower portion of the rear of the ticket but by January 1993 the printing
was moved to the upper portion of the rear of the ticket, away from the magnetic strip.
There appears to have been at least four different print runs of this design.

The first style had a gap between the top three waves and the "FerryTravel+" in the small yellow box.

The second style had a small gap between the top three waves and the "FerryTravel+" in the box and the colour had a noticeable greyish tinge.

The third style was produced by Rand McNally International and was distinctly more yellow and green.

The fourth style did not have any printer identification. The FERRYTRAVEL+ in the sidebar was much bolder,
whilst the wave pattern became more stylized.
