Tram - City Section Concession Cards

Both these tickets were popular and had been a long running part of the MMTB range. The term "Concession" simply implied that the price was at a discount in comparison to paying for individual trips. When presented for travel, the next available space on the Concession card would be punched and a "Not Cash" City Concession check ticket issued as proof of presentation.

It appears that the Tramways Board held both tickets at a stable price over a period of time, and instead reduced the number of rides offered, while the cost of their section fares increased. Neither ticket had any printing on the rear, nor were they available on MMTB bus routes within the defined areas. The existance of the Central Travelcard probably had no effect on the sale of these tickets.
