Launching and Marketing the neighbourhoods

Page last modified/checked: Tuesday, 30 November, 2004

The start up to the new fare structure included a range of ideas and publicity, many of which have not been repeated again. With marketing, we will look at initial printed information that was explanatory of the new arragements a a whole, as well as some of the tickets themselves. Some other information explaining the new tickets is included later where those tickets are reviewed separately.

There are some items than can be attributed directly to the launch of the system, most were to publicise the new tickets and neighbourhoods, while two were discount ticket offers with a fixed period of validity. These items were as follows:

NEWSPAPER LIFTOUT

INDIVIDUAL NEIGHBOURHOOD BROCHURES

TICKET LEAFLETS

THE DISCOUNT FARE FIASCO

THE 7 FOR 5 TRAVELCARDS

THE BUZZ AROUND KIT

PUBLIC TRANSPORT MAPS

TRAVEL GUIDES

THE MET REFERENCE BOOKLET
